Our Shop

Vermiculture might be relatively new to Ireland, but it is a well proven method of converting waste from other agricultural and food processes into a very useful soil amendment and growth enhancing medium with huge upsides for the producer AND the planet. It is entirely sustainable, organic and a solution to several problems.

That’s why we call ourselves Sustainable Organic Solutions Ltd.

Our Facility

Our facility serves as the heart of our operations, where we transform organic waste materials into premium-quality wormcast products through a meticulous and sustainable process. Here's an overview of our facility:

We have a mixing system, where we take our raw ingredients, mix them to our recipe, ensuring that we have all the components to make nice food for our worms.

Then we put the mix in one of our bays, monitor it to ensure that it is cooking nicely, killing any harmful bacteria like E.coli or Salmonella but maintain aerobic conditions to allow the useful microbes to do their work. When the wormfeed is ready, we start to feed it to our worms, Eisenia Fetida, and leter, we will harvest the wormcast from the bottom of our Continuous Feed Through bed.

Depending on whether the wormcast is to be used for solid or liquid purposes, the production process swings to do that and then pack the material or liquid for you, our customer.

All through the entire process, we monitor what is happening to ensure we stay within Regulatory guidelines or to ensure that the worms are happy to stay with us and do their thing.
